Fidel Castro is a Cuban revolutionary leader who is no more today. His type comes once in a generation. Averters come once in a generation. There are some generations who are not fortunate to witness one; any generation that is fortunate to have one will never forget the impact of such rare breed of homo-sapience in their life time. They remain the issue of discuss long after their demise.
Castro is an Averter. Cuba will be eternally grateful to this lawyer turned revolutionary. For the tomorrow of the Cuban people he sacrificed his entire life time. Castro held many political offices before he was eventually elected the Cuban President in 1976. He held that post for more than 30 years before stepping down from office in February 2008. His younger brother succeeded him.
He made a lot of sacrifices in his quest to free the Cuban People. He was once imprisoned. The western powers were opposed to his Marxist policies and they gave him a stiff battle. Castro stood in his grounds and the entire Cuban Nation stood with him in support of his ideals for a liberated Cuba. Today, Cuba has lost a Colossus. Cuba is mourning-it is truly justified.
