Dulquer Salmaan, is an Indian actor, more prominent for his works in the Malayalam Film Industry. Being the son of the most popular Malayalam actor, ‘Mammooty’, he started off his career as a Business manager and later opted for acting career. He has also starred in a Tamil film and he is also doing commercials ads for many well known brands.
He made his acting debut through the film, ‘Second Show’, in the year 2012, which was commercially successful. His performance in the movie was critically acclaimed and he got many positive reviews and also won a Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actor. Following this, he starred in ‘Ustad Hotel’ and this movie was a huge box office hit. He was also seen in many Malayalam movies like, ‘Bangalore Days, Pattam Pole, ABCD, Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, Jomonte Suvisheshangal etc’. He has also made his singing debut in the movie, ‘ABCD’, with the song, ‘Johnny Mone Johnny’. He made his debut in Tamil film Industry, with a bilingual flick, ‘Vaayai Moodi Pesavum’, which was also released in Malayalam, in the year 2014. He has won many awards like, ‘Filmfare award, NAFA award, Kerala State film award etc’, under the category of Best Actor.
In addition to acting, he also owns a web portal for car trading and dental business chain and also an acting director of Motherhood Hospital, based in Bangalore.
