Shahrukh Khan is born on 2 November 1965 and he is an Indian actor, film producer, and television personality. He is also known as Shah Rukh Khan or by the initialism SRK.

Shahrukh Khan is born into a Muslim family from New Delhi and grew up in the Rajendra Nagar, a neighborhood of Delhi. Shahrukh Khan’s father was a businessman having different ventures and, in this way, the family lived a middle-class life. Shahrukh Khan has an older sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, and, after their parent’s passed away, he took care of her. In 1981, their father died of cancer and, in 1991, their mother had complications of diabetes and passed away too. From that moment, Shahrukh Khan took care of his sister and the situation persists in the present also by having his sister living with him and with his family in Mumbai residence.
For his education, Shahrukh Khan attended St. Columba’s School from Delhi. During school years, Shahrukh Khan excelled in sports as hockey and football, receiving also the school’s highest award, the Sword of Honor. Initially, Shahrukh Khan intended to have a career in sport but he give it up after a shoulder injury in his early years. After, St. Columba’s School, Shahrukh Khan went to Hansraj College to take bachelor’s degree in Economics and, after that, he began the studies for a master degree in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia. He left the studies at Jamia Millia Islamia in order to follow his acting career.
The acting passion started in Shahrukh Khan’s youth when he acted in stage plays and received praise for his imitations of Bollywood actors, his favorites being Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mumtaz.
Shahrukh Khan’s debut in television was in the 1980’s in television series as “Fauji” and “Dil Dariya”. As a film producer, Shahrukh Khan co-produced three films from 1999 to 2003 through the partnership Dreamz Unlimited. Since 2015, Red Chillies Entertainment company released around nine films and in many of them Shahrukh Khan had the lead role or played in as a guest appearance.
